Pros & Cons
Pros
M592 is the latest wide ratio model that works with older stuff and/or sti. Works really well with 9 speed lx shifters.
Shifting is so much more crisp and seamless. Every gear changes smoothly like butter. Even with my bafang bbhd 100w motor.
Great derailleur for my mtb. The shadow design also make the derailer much near the rd hanger and reduce the rd breakage if the bike hit the ground, get stuck w/ stone etc. Easy to install, easy to adjust.
Cons
I hope this review helps save time and frustration. The jockey wheel is 2 inches or more from the small cog. There is no way for the jockey wheel to swing in closer to the cogs due to chain rap as on most derailleurs.

The original derailleur would take forever to change gears, all i would get was constant chatter and loss of speed and momentum.
Price
Bike part shortage forced me to spend an additional $30 for this derailleur.
Local bike shop wanted $150 to fix.
If you're looking for a good inexpensive option i recommend this.
Shipping
Easy install and haven't had to index since.
Packaging/appearance
If it was new it would have been in the original box with the original paperwork.
Competitiveness
It works way better than my old shimano $20 derailleur that came with my mountain bike.
Totally different from what i'm used to (cheaper bikes, what can i say).
'17 purchase), but its just as good as shimano's comparable unit they're putting out today, just very affordable.
Until racing or competition requires it you'd not need better then the deore for your 7-9 speed gear set.

Unlike some of the other reviewers i did not buy this derailleur as a downgrade from more expensive tech i wanted the low profile of a shadow derailleur but didn t need the clutch of the shadow plus for the kind of riding i do
