It * securely to the seat tube without sliding around. Built-in shelf for the pre-load screw is a nice feature and avoids the hassle needed to place the small metal guard as required with the normal braze-on mount method. Works well on my cf frame.

I rebuilt an old steel bike with an ultegra 6800 group, and needed this to install the braze-on front derailleur.
Don't forget to tighten the stabilization screw on your front derailleur (this adapter has a contact point for it).

This clamp shipped with the adapter and has been working well.

It also looks, feels, and is packaged like genuine shimano; you can't take that for granted with bike parts.
