Pros & Cons
Pros
These are the 1st spd-sl pedals i've used. Great all around pedal.
As i get more comfortable i will increase the clip tension as shimano advised. Easy in, easy out on clipping in. My tip is to always unclip a few yards from where you think you're going to stop.
The commuters have been ridden in all kinds of weather and are still going strong 2 years later. No issues with shipment or install. They work perfectly.
The cleats are bulky, but it gives you a secure clip in. The clip in tension is adjustable, and you can adjust float based upon the cleats you use.
They look much better, however, the one side of engagement is something you'd need to get used to. They seem to made of durable, yet heavy materials.
Cons
The balance of the pedal is off and it is difficult to clip in and out of the shoe. The pedal is made of plastic composite and weighs more than the locking part. After 3000 miles these are done. The clip is to hard for me to unclip.

The pedals with the included cleats work very well together and allow for a small amount of play while still keeping your foot ... Read More
Pedals function as intended, with a good solid feel and a wide range of possible tensions.
The fear of a foot slipping off a pedal creating a wipeout has vanished.
Went for a quick spin, headed back to the house and couldn't unclip, fell right over in front of the wife.
Price
Great set for a even better price.
Very nice you can’t beat the price.
Off course for the price, they are a little on the heavier side.
Way to go if you need an inexpensive set of shimano spd pedals
Shipping
The product was delivered exactly according to the description, one day before the best schedule predicted.
Packaging/appearance
Perfect, i received in a good condition
Competitiveness
I've tried a few knock-off brands and have to saw that the shimano's work the best--easiest to adjust and clip into while riding.
Riding i can't tell the difference between these and the much more expensive ultegra model.
I have nothing to compare since these are my first set of road clip pedals.
