This is one of the best reels i have owned. The price point is perfect for what you're getting.
Couldn't be happier. Between the now translated pdf document and the demonstrations people have posted on youtube we're good.

I love the reel, the quality is definitely worth the price.
Nice reel with the same technology (idc-5)as the shimano metanium dc for a little less money.
Basically the curado dc with an extra drag setting.
Competitiveness
One of the beat dc reels on the market!
I tested this caster with 30 pounds fluorocarbon line and it handle it like a champ.
I strung it mmediately with seagars abrazx 15lb test.
Two negatives, shimano usa won't warranty them.

Most of my local lakes i don’t need a fast retrieve which i really would only use if i were wanting to skip a section of water

I had been wanting the scorpion dc for a while compared to some other reels that i have not really sure its worth that price however it looks sharp its smooth cast far but not much farther than ones i have bought half the price and as far as the dc stopping the birds nest it does help but not as much as i had thought it would

There are reels that perform as well for a lot less price and if its just the dc sound you want that try the shimano slx dc first under 200
