The shoe wrapped around my foot better (i have high arches), and the material didn’t wrinkle/overlap when i fastened the velcro.
Competitiveness
I also tried the bontrager solstice shoes (a very similar model), and shimano won for both fit and looks.
At the spin studio, the rental shoes that fit me are unisex as well (specialized brand, size eu39).

The shoes tag says 7the shoes are more true to size for what the tag says so higher end of the range if there is one
