Pros

It's so smooth on cast and effortlessly smooth on retrieve. Casts a mile. Adjustments give you zero backlash.

I own two and ha e put both through the test and i have zero complaints. I actually prefer it over the shimano slx dc which is $90 more. Worth every penny. Will be picking up the dc model.

For a reel under a hundred dollars, the slx is a great reel. This reel punches so far above its weight its rediculous. The breaking system is manuel and you have to open up the reel.

This reel is phenomenal. Love everything about this reel. Theses reels are amazing.


Cons

I'm very dissatisfied, now it's on me to send it back and pay the shipping for warranty. Haven't cut it yet.

I have a curado i, with the external tuning and that is so much easier to adjust than having to open the frame to adjust.

Ordered the reel and the rod that goes with it.

    I have had the chance to mess with this reel for a while now so far i have found that it is very hard to set the breaks unless you are using heavy lures
