Pros

The slx is honestly quite easily best reel award for the money in my book. I own two and ha e put both through the test and i have zero complaints. My only reminder to the consumer is to watch out as the breaking system is manuel, and you have to open... Read More

But i would even argue that point because at some point you are going to have to learn how to manage your spool speed with your thumb regardless. The friction brakes are very high quality, and i almost never backlash on this reel.

Cons

I'm very dissatisfied, now it's on me to send it back and pay the shipping for warranty. Haven't cut it yet.

I have a couple corados and dc reels and the slx is not the same as them but for the price the quality is definitely there.

You may also look to see if you can get a deal on a combo with the rod and reel.

I have a curado i, with the external tuning and that is so much easier to adjust than having to open the frame to adjust.

Love the reel and a very reasonable price.

A really good reel for a good price.

What it does do is destroy everything in its price range!
