I'm happy with the reel, bought for my son as his first fairly quality reel.
I am extremely happy with this purchase.
I got this reel with the slx for a finesse rig that's less than 250$ overall and a great deal.
This reel is very smooth, balanced, and exudes quality.
Competitiveness
It has a lot of the benefits and added technologies of the higher end model w/o the high price tag.
I also have two nasci in the 3000.
Paired it with berkeley air series 10’9”, caught a 3lbs.
The cost of the higher end shimano reels had me looking for something more reasonably priced.

If it cant survive or keep out 10 seconds of touching the sand i can only imagine what would happen if it would sit there for a minute or longer
