Pros

It is a bit noisier than my previous units, but that's not so important for workshop/basement use. Size, weight and maneuverability are nice. It is lightweight and works wonderful.

The unit removes water from a damp and musty basement. It saves compressor time and avoids frequent cycles. No more damp floors and condensation on our windows.

It works great so far and the pump function appears to work properly. It works fine and has been perfectly reliable. It's definitely the best dehumidifier that i've ever had.

Cons

Shinco dehumidifier is louder and less energy efficient than the honeywell and the panasonic i used to have. Best to use your money on a well named brand like honeywell with better customer service. Pros- not loud. Not thrilled with false advertising.... Read More

The fan and compressor run continuously, using electricity and making noise. It worked for a few months, i use it to dehumidify my workspace in a garage during the summer. Then stopped condensing moisture.
