I liked the open back cover because it makes battery change outs easy no unclipping like on the plastic one

Note that the side screw puts the clamping pressure to hold the camera in place

One suggestion is that if its going to bounce around much to wrap a velcro strap around the housing as the side screw to secure the camera to the housing bends the plastic camera housing and puts stress on the glass backing

Im not a huge fan of the uv protector as it seems a bit sub par
