Pros & Cons
Pros
The aonic 50s are very comfortable and very well built. The added depth did solve the problem of my ear rubbing against the inside, so they're a definite comfort improvement for me. They are heavier than most consumer headphones like bose or sony but ... Read More
The sound of the aonic50's better to me than the sonys and these are ~$150 cheaper. The anc is not the best, but isn't too bad either. I am an experienced wireless anc headphone user and these are easily the best i have used.
The fit is really great. Connectivity is great. No latency issues of any kind. Sometimes it's a nuisance.
They handle the full amplification without distorting. They sound even better powered off running through my desktop amp squeezing more juice out of higher resolution digital files. They do an admiral job.
The app switches to normal nc, which seems pretty good. Adjustments to levels foreach are made within the shureplay app.
Cons
The size of the headband is not so big, i have a medium to larger head. Earcup and headband vinyl aren't well secured and all of the glue failed within 6 months of daily use. When connected to a phone and a pc, audio becomes choppy, i find myself havi... Read More
Shure aonic 50 are not what i would expect from a $300 pair of headphones. The sound is ok but at $400 it needs to be better than this.
Highlights

Asking any headphones to do so many things is a tall order and i entered into all this with the assumption there would be tradeoffs.
Price
Worth the price clear & crisp sound which is what i wanted.
Packaging/appearance
There's times where having my desktop and iphone attached to the shures simultaneously is great, and times where it's a nuisance.
The headphones' packaging is aesthetic to the eye.
Unboxing:indeed, the circular box is not like the packaging in which other headphones arrive.
Competitiveness
Since i'd rather be able to use my headphones if the battery is completely drained i consider this a fairly significant feature... Read More
A bit more expensive than others, but still a great value.
Thankfully there is an option to turn that off, since you can't do eq with ldac codec.
After stubbornly refusing to evolve for over a decade they've finally started to waver somewhat on their $350 price tag, someti... Read More

I recall reading reviews from testing labs that said the shure was better sounding than the sony but the shure was also more expensive and they were not sure if it was worth the difference in price
