The only mic under 1000 that tops this is the at4047

Here are my thoughts as a male with a medium voice i find this mic might work for vo only if you have a very welltreated room of medium to larger size

Because this mike is more of an open cardioid sound if i sit back from it a bit i suddenly find too much room ambiance in my voiceover or zoom lesson because this mic reveals too much of the limitations of my small recording area

In my opinion there are better choices for a vo mic simply because the ksm32 allows too much ambiance which becomes room echo in a small home studio

The 32 seems more of an instrument or according to reports a good drum overhead mic

I have not tried the more expensive ksm42 in a smaller room such as my own but i have learned that the ksm32 is not meant for my recording environment
