The instructions say to not use teflon tape, so i was pleasantly surprised with the ease and secure (leak free) fit with hand tightening.
Easy to install with the existing fittings.
This pump does not come with the required flex barb fittings.
It is why a lot of folks add an accumulator tank with the a65, with the e65 you won't need one.
Price
But the price is right, so we will see.

I ordered the shurflo 4008-101-e65, but received the a65 without factory packaging and full of water.

Competitiveness
My rv fresh water pump needed replacing so i bought a shurflo 2088-554-144.
Perfect replacement for my shurflo water pump 2088-422-144 manufactured sept 2004.
It came packaged in a brown box, not a shurflo box.
I will be replacing it with a shurflo 4048.

It also didnt have the two threaded pump fitting that come in the original shurflo box
