Pros
This is reallly good for amateur photography. The sharpness is excellent. The auto focus is pretty quick compared to a couple other telephoto lens i've used before. Pictures turn out amazingly well, as seen in examples of song sparrow.
This is a very nice lens, and it is also quite affordable. There are some minor downsides (which are to be expected at this price):- the lens is very heavy (almost 4 pounds) and pretty big.
The sigma 150-500mm zoom performs just as expected. Quality of images is excellent and surpassed my expectations. Need more time to assess its capabilities and limitations but so far compares very favorably to tamron 150-600mm. All shots are handheld ... Read More
The lens comes with a padded nylon bag that keeps the lens protected. I like the monopod solution as it allows for easier transportation and quicker shots. For long shooting outings i would use a tripod, im a huge fan of sigma lenses.
Cons
Shame about the build quality though. Rather spend your money on a ef l non is that cost the same! My sigma is in a trash can in jackson, wy if you want it!
The focus is inaccurate and slow, the zoom creeps like crazy. Even shooting at iso3200 and speeds over 1/2000 from a monopod the images come out blurry.

This lens fits perfectly, and is made well.
Great lens it help me to get closer with out loosing image quality
Even on a tripod the images are sharper with the stabilizer turned on.
Was very heavy, must have strong wrist

And on a side note, the price was great!
Overall really happy on the price and zoom capacities.
Its good for the price and sharp but auto focus bit slow but its giving good pic.
Love that there is an inexpensive alternative for those of us who enjoy photography but don't have thousands of dollars to spend on nikon.
