I love that the lens performs well in low-light because i like night photography a lot.
This is useful when you need better grip of the camera, as the lens gives good purchase.
8 aperture is the lowest but allows you to go higher thanks to be being variable aperture.
Price
I got it on sale and it's the best purchase i've made for my camera!
This is worth the purchase and from what i can see, it still costs about the same.
Competitiveness
I'd rather start out with a budget lens as versatile as the sigma 18-50mm.
I'm learning a lot with this lens and although i've discovered there are much better lenses, those are too high for a beginner.
