Pros

The filter is a good quality filter as it is multi-coating. The glass is pristine. That includes my several b&w filters which are also of the highest caliber materials and manufacture.

This filter fixes all the shortcomings of the targus. Worth buying and trying. Would recommend it for someone looking for an inexpensive filter.

Lumix dmc fz200 filter. Good protection for my lens and no noticeable distortion. Protects against scratching the expensive lens.

Bought it for my pentax wr lens 18-55. Fits perfectly on all of my nikon lenses for my d3100. Works with the standard nikon lens-caps on my lenses.

Sigma filter has made a huge difference in the lens' ability to reproduce colors closer to what the human eye sees. The colors reproduced are true and there is no haze or bluish tinge as previously experienced.

Cons

This is my first and last sigma product i buy. All these cheap filters all have * on the glass that shows up in your photos. Spend the money and buy a good uv filter.

This is a great uv filter for the price.

Price is good and seems to go on sale from time to time so a nice bonus over more expensive filters.

Don't put a $5 tiffen in front of a $500 canon lens :-)i bought this for my canon 50mm prime f1.

I've compared them with other $5 ones and man, sigma's are so clear and non reflective.

I previously had an uncoated uv filter on one lens and a sigma muti-coated uv filter on another.
