Pros

Very useful for intraoral and macro photography. Allows me to not worry about lighting issues. The lighting with my 100mm l macro lens is perfect, even.

The eos canon camera is suited to this flash and suitable for macro lenses but it can be used with other lens types. Sigma supplies a 55mm and 58mm with the unit. The flash adds adequate illumination for macro work with moth photography.

Lcd panel on the back is not immediately obvious. Once you have flipped through the few pages of the slim handbook (takes about ten minutes) the manual adjustment options are really really worth spending some time with and experimenting with. Just be ... Read More

With patience and deliberate reckoning with each photo session, i have successfully avoided this disaster.

Dont overspend for a nikon close up ring flash this works very well and you save quite a bit.

Cons

Packaging/appearance

After a little experimentation i discovered that i get the best images by using the aperature priority setting.

Unlike the nikon the cable is spring coiled and always stays neatly out of the way.

First off, i have to rate amazon's packaging.

Competitiveness

I looked at the competition and researched as i all ways do.

I was using this flash on a 70-180mm macro nikon and had to get a 58mm to 62mm step up ring.

I have been searching the net for a reveiw of this flash.

I upgraded to the rebel xti (10 mpixels) for home.
