Offers slight protection against basic wear and tear but sadly our pup chewed through it punctured it really and damaged the remote so not meant as protection against harsh conditions or as a dog toy d

I also have tile floors so when it gets knocked off the arm of the couch the battery cover along with the batteries go flying everywhere
