Protected my mattress more times than i can remember and only 2 down sides i can see are 1 if you have a mattress like mine which is 30cm depth then the cover will be a lil sleepy and may slip off and 2nd makes a paper like sound when u toss and turn but if it does its job then we can over look that

It makes noise as you lay down on it unless you place a thick bedsheet over it
