Pros & Cons
Pros
Using crazy glue to attach an ssd to a macbook air was a breeze. Bought as a replacement for a dell g7 laptop 512gb chiclet drive. Will definitely be getting the 2tb soon for my other m.
Overall the ssd works great and super snappy. It is screamingly faster than any ssd i’ve ever had. I presume it's even faster on a pcie gen 4 slot.
Cons
Initially the drive was not recognized by my system. Reformatted it to ntfs rather then exfat, no luck. Currently trying to decrypt the drive to try to get the data off of it. Neither my mac or windows pc sees the drive.
These ssds aren’t durable. Save up a little more and get a reputable brand name. Low quality m.
Always freezes up then errors. File system was broken. Reinstalled from scratch - 2 days later same issue.
Highlights
Quality
Works really well, fast and easy install.
Purchased this as part of my first build.
Formatting the drive as apfs encrypted seemed to work, but the drive died when transferring over 30 gb, so it ended up as a big headache.
First drive worked as intended for a few months then one day just stopped working.
Price
I'd say it's worth it for the price.
Competitiveness
Other nvme ssds have not seemed so particular in the past.

Unless your use case is similar this should work for you and if you try it as an external you might try different enclosures

I liked how it is cheap yet effective

One thing to note is that my drives all had different amounts of chips on the board
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It seems these are just amalgamations of different batches of nand so with some drives you’ll have only a single sided nvme while other times you will have chips on both sides
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Some people might run into compatibility issues due to the possibility of getting a double sided one
