Pros & Cons
Pros
It does everything i need it to do, and if the budget/project needs something more robust i would be renting a red or arri. Transfers to my laptop very fast.
Bmpcc4k at 3840x2160 12:1 and 24fps can record up to about 67-72 minutes of time. Write speed is great for all recording codecs in the black magic high end cinema cameras. All-i 420 mov (all datum is 420 mov).
It's fine with hd video and still photography. Formats in the camera with no problems. Less rigging, less wires coming off the camera. It also records pro res 4444 up to 4.
Tb cfexpress type b card for well under $150 is a good deal as long as you don't try to capture 8k or demanding 4k 60 fps video footage with your dslr. Update 12/2021 still using this card and running like a champ.
The samsung t5 drives are the best value. It’s very convenient and lightweight. Works as advertised and at a very reasonable price point.
Highlights
Quality
I then increased the quality to 720mbps 8k24p and recorded another 15 minutes with no problems.
I'm using it with the bmpcc 4k and it's been working great.
Peak read and write with the card reader reached 329mb/s (2632mbits/s) and peak read was 422mb/s (3376mbits/sec).
Price
The price is right considering high prices of all the other brands for the same specs.
For my use, this performance is fine, and the price is hard to beat.
As soon as the price drops to 139 or less, i'll get another one.
Shipping
I really like the storage capacity and the fast loading speed.
The write speed may not be as fast as some of the more expensive cards out there but it’s still plenty fast for most things you... Read More
Packaging/appearance
Works great on the bmpcc 6k in all recording modes.
Competitiveness
Also i now use a blackmagic 4.
I recorded a single 4k/30fps video at the highest quality (144mb/s) and the card had no issues.
Bye bye sandisk's 400$ ridiculous price tag.
That's as low as you can go but it is a much better image than prores lt or proxy.
