Pros

Gb silicon power brand solid state drive. Slim 7mm design makes it compatible with a wide range of devices. But it seems odd that it would come with 4 partitions. I've never experienced this with other drives; especially ones without an os on it.

Tb for under $50 is a fair price for such a decently spec’d sata ssd. Very fast, very capable, high quality. Solid brand and company.

Cons

Crystaldiskinfo reports no problems, but the drive will freeze up at 100% usage with 0b/s transfer for several minutes. That's an overall average of 6 mb/s (sequential), which is unacceptable on an ssd. Failed in less than three months with just inter... Read More

Computer says the drive needs to be formatted. Tried different format, also shuts down. Formatted as a single partition 4tb. Can read data but cannot write anymore. Cannot format or recover drive.

Hook it up, boot to the usb drive install your choice of os, i used fedora 40, the installation was done in less than 15 minutes.

Price

This item is a good bang for your buck, it is a fast ssd cheap reliable.

For the price, the performance is top-notch, making this ssd an excellent value.

1tb for under $50 is a fair price for such a decently spec’d sata ssd.

But most of the people i do this for are very budget conscious and i needed something i could support and they could afford.

All i can say is wow, it's so much faster now.

I bought 2 different brands ssd and this is the only one that never failed or given me any issues whatsoever.

Out of 8 different less expensive drives, the sp drive has provided the value, speed and most of all, the reliability i need.

These are not a well known brand, nor are they the most or least expensive.

The speeds are just as advertised, aside from the write speed when writing large transfers, nearly as fast as superior competing products.
