Heat dissipation is excellent and performance is as claimed. I have had absolutely zero problems so far. Cons:-exterior is made from plastic, feels a little bit cheap, but not too bad.

Cons

On repeated tests the drive gets progressively slower, down to under 2 mb/s. Not to mention there was a sketchy exe when it was initially plugged in. Died on me after 6 months and lost almost 2tb of data.

Type c port sometimes disconnects itself. Seems like something the ssd controller should have prevented. But the terrible part is that it keeps presenting with errors and failing/crashing.

Material quality is not good. It is plasticy, feeling cheap. Plastic casing is cheap.

I’ve been disappointed with other brands dropping quality lately but sp always delivers a reliable and good product for the price!

Compared with the manufacturer's specs for this device, this is less than fifth as fast as its theoretical top speed.

It was a very affordable choice (but not so cheap that i was worried about the quality).

Price

I purchased this because it was the right price.

The aluminum casing that comes with it doesn't feel cheap at all and a 2tb external ssd at this price is insane.

Shipping

Shipping was extremely fast and the drive arrived in a couple of days to my address in covin.

Packaging/appearance

This was in turn packed in a cardboard box making the packaging attractive and safe.

It does feel a bit cheap, but that doesn't matter much when it's sitting behind the wiiu.

Note that the size of the 1tb device is significantly different from the sizes of the higher-capacity devices.

Competitiveness

Replaced a 500gb unit that started running slow.

I would buy again and may do that, hopefully they make a 8tb version.

Didn’t work with ps5 ,couldn’t play ps5 games on it.
