However, it is hopelessly slow. Returned for full refund. Can't risk another faulty - buying a wd next.
Tried to recover data but after such a fatal error it can't be recovered. Then corrupt file errors. For pc world to send it off and take the work off it!

It’s made by silicon power and is made in taiwan it’s there own brand of drive so it’s not another brand inside the shell

If your using it only for windows use ntfs and if on mac or linux etc use exfat

Ntfs cons it’s not very compatible like fat32 or exfat but more reliable if using it for just windows

Exfat cons from what i have read even though being quite compatible it can be unreliable as it doesn’t journal the changes made on the drive getting confused compared to ntfs and i think that’s where errors and it being unstable might be the problem not functioning properly so maybe take note of this and keep it at ntfs if you can

Lead is a little short and the none standard usb end seemed a little loose in the drive socket
