Short cables reduce transmit times. Light enough to velcro to the back of the mac. Plenty fast and so far durable.

Gen 2 (10gb spec), but the package is clearly labeled usb3. To be fair, the upto 600mb/s is a clue that should have raised my suspicions. The write speeds are fair, down to under 2 mb/s.

Plugging into my computer it automatically comes with so stuff already installed with warranty notes and etc testing it out it only crashed on me once because i was scrolling through my massive files without letting it load

All hard disks develop bad blocks even right out of the factory and ssds will use some space for processing and some chip manufacturers use proprietary designs that dont match open standards usually a bit more durable though they seem to last a bit longer

Great idea but the best implementation i have found is not affixing velcro to the drive

Instead i use velcro strips i cut from a long roll and build a caddy with one or two short ways and always two thinner longways with an opening in the caddy at the top that has a latch strip then i can put the drive in the caddy stick the whole thing to a velcro flat on the back of the screen latch it so it all travels together etc
