Pros

Extremely perfect upgrade up to now. Easy to install. Micron even packages their own chips with crucial labels.

Great price. Couldn't be happier. Immensely first-rate quality. Good quality, and lowest price, no complaints.

Gb (2 x 8 gb) ddr3 1600 mhz. Not a gaming machine, but perfect for video streaming and home use with lots of open windows including conferencing and remote desktop.

Cons

Quality

Just glad i don't have to go through the hassle of returning the product.

Easy to install and had zero compatibility issues with the lenovo thinkpad w550s!

I bought this based on a reddit recommendation for the synology ds918+.

However, after reading all the questions/answer section, i went ahead and went with the purchase, and i'm glad i did.

Price

And the price was just too good to pass up.

Not sure why one would pay double the price.

Packaging/appearance

Hynix, samsung, and micron will do custom packaging for anyone with a different brand name on the ics.

The modules look like the photo with sp on the bga packages, although the packaging doesn't mention hynix like the description does.

They come in pet packaging that require scissors to open.

Competitiveness

With the ram upgrade and a 1tb ssd, my hp laptop is a force to be reckoned with.

Very suitable for macbook pro (13-inch, mid 2012), and made a big difference in the performance of my mac.

I ordered these as compatible for apple but they turned out to be packaged for general sale as ddr3l/pc3 12800 modules.

But i was worried because these were advertised as suited for apple, hence that it might not work in my zotac pc mini computer from 2014.
