Pros

This has to be the easiest fix on the planet. Brought new life to my mbp after it was crippled by an os update.

The specs for this ram is as followed 16 gb (2 x 8 gb) ddr3 1600 mhz. Bought to upgrade my hp 15-cc610ms laptop. Worked perfectly for imac mid 2011.

Memory no longer the bottleneck on my older laptop. Performance is strong and it really is an upgrade for my older lenovo gaming laptop.

Cons

After running the repair disk utility, the machd drive was replaced with disk0s1. The partition map efi was corrupted etc and will not boot up and needs to be removed. While it is cheaper than other companies be forewarned it will not last. Did not wo... Read More

Most people do not know hynix is a high quality oem for ram.

I bought this based on a reddit recommendation for the synology ds918+.

However, after reading all the questions/answer section, i went ahead and went with the purchase, and i'm glad i did.

Hynix is a major name brand, so you can use these with no concerns.

It does work out on my old laptop, it is running so fast since installed.

Came packaged in those plastic clamshell packaging where all four edges are melted together requiring scissors to open.

Competitiveness

Very suitable for macbook pro (13-inch, mid 2012), and made a big difference in the performance of my mac.

I upgraded my thinkpad t430 from 8g to this 16g memory.

I refuse to buy the newer models.

But i was worried because these were advertised as suited for apple, hence that it might not work in my zotac pc mini computer from 2014.
