The medium is an ideal size for this age group (5, 7). My kiddo loves it! He is 3 and it shortened all the way fits him great! Nice size for elementary school. My son starts tk in two weeks and is 4 years old the size is perfect!

The zipper functions are easy and seamless. There's a buckle * the front to attach a lunchbox or hat, etc. Has an individual padded pocket for a tablet/ipad.

Cons

Cute pattern but the side pockets are a tight fit for water bottles and the zipper across is an oval shape so you have to bend folders or books inside. Looks like it will not last long, and doesn't seem like durable material.
