Doesnt leak even sideways in my work bag keeps ice inside for crazy long like 36 hours keeps water hot enough for gongfu tea brewing on hikes doesnt matter the outside temp

Each one has lasted me a year before i leave it somewhere like an idiot but in that time it never gets nasty like the little slidey lids and gaskets on coffee mugs that are impossible to fully clean

I will test it in caribbean where its hot all day long and no ac that will be the real test
