My fixes are i either leave it folded under while on my lap or flip it over so that the bottom is up and the lip slightly raises the stand

As to other reports it scratches the bottom of the laptop i see nothing on either side of the stand that scratches so the design must have changed since that review was written

Unlike the stand i had to send back because it was too flimsy and easily tipped over backwards this one cant do that because of its design no matter how large your laptop is
