Pros

It looks good and is lightweight, but durable. The lock is very secure and sturdy.

The lid closes slowly and doesn't flop down. The foot pedal allows you to open the lid when your hands are full of garbage. The locking lid is helpful with little kids.

We were left stepless. We were heartbroken. That’s not a deal breaker though.

Cons

Amazon shipped it in an oversized box so while it’s being shipped, it hangs around in the box resulting in a scuffed up trash can. Foot pedal breaks easily.

Simplehuman now floods the market. Outrageously expensive, not made nearly as much as our old one. Rubbermaid is far superior. This garbage can is garbage.
