Pros
The metal band around the top of the bag, holds it in place and doesn't allow the bag to slide down in to the can. The bags it comes with are very heavy duty but a little expensive so we use normal glad heavy duty 13 gallon.
This is the best i have 'eva' used. They are a little pricey, but worth it. Love it, worth every penny.
The black stainless finish really makes it stand out handsomely. It’s slim, the black stainless matches our appliances. The color is great.
No more stainless lids slamming down. The foot pedal opens smoothly & quickly. The lid closes quietly and foot pedal is sturdy.
This trash can is the best trash can i could ever imagine. Love this pail. I love this trashcan. It looks very clean and sleek when closed.
Cons
After less than 2 months, the lid opens less than half way using the pedal. It wobbles like it’s going to fall down when you try to open it. Contacted manufacture but no response.

The can comes with a 10-year warranty and the pedal action is super smooth and the lid has a soft close action when you release the pedal.
No need to buy the special simplehuman bags as this works perfectly with your standard 13 or 15 gallon bags.
I paid full price for 2 of these, and liked them so much, i bought a 3rd.

It has a softclose lid so it doesn’t slam closed and there’s no seem where the lid and can meet which is awesome if you have animals that like to get into the garbage

I liked the dark bronze because it does not have the stainless trim like the black one

I would have spent far more than this 100 dollars on ten years worth of less expensive stainless cans that are loud unsightly and inefficient and break often
