One of nice features is the slotted lid but it doesnt fit tightly on the pot so steam definitely escapes when slots are closed

Even though i feel it dented fairly easily i prefer the metal straining lid to the rubber that calphalon used to make the lid strainer out of because it was harder to clean

If you need no steam to escape this is not the pan to use

Only one thing went wrong otherwise a fine pot the one thing being it lost its ouside blackening and now is steel grey
