No water leaks through, even if water is gathered around it for a while. Rubber gasket makes it water tight. Super easy to install.
The fit is perfect! Nice but short. Great product. Great match. Great find.

I have used the push in button type caps from the big box hardware store and was not happy

They never really sealed which allowed water to drip under the sink

They also began to rust pretty quick and ended up being ugly and a waste of money
