Just purchased a new cd rom drive with sata. Datum. Perfect product to get data off an old ide hard drive. Be sure to plug in the power back onto the card.
Cons
Tried to use this to get a internal zip drive to work, was not recognized at all. Also tried it with known working ide hard drive and dvd drives, neither worked.

You have to go into bios and tell it not to boot from that sata port

Drives need to be set to master in order to be detected
