Pros & Cons
Pros
Needed to get failover capability between two stacked switches in my home lab. I like it plugged in to the wall so its always powered up.
Cons
Even with only 1 port plugged in the single connection speed was dropped 97% on average. The gigabyte speed rating is irrelevant since you will never get close to it.
Highlights
Quality
Great product, switched to ethernet, after various issues and discovered another 500 mps to my internet speed!
This is a great splitter, can use both at once, not a switcher.
Have not lost any significant signal strength
My tvs lan has a very limited throughput and this is only for consistancy since too far away from wireless router.
Price
Very good value and did what we needed
