It's not so soft that you sink to the bottom, but not too firm either. I like the softness and how it feels while sitting. Bottom side has little rubber pimples to help keep it in place. It's well made and will take a rougher beating.
The sleeve has a side with rubberized dots so as to prevent slips and should be on the chair's surface. The elastic band helps set the cushion up or down according to your needs.
This seat cushion is great. It's a little pricey, but the quality seems to be there. Overall it's a great, high quality cushion that i highly recommend! Just and fyi. Support for your back seems very good.
It's a little smaller than some but works effectively. The flyer specifies it will be suitable in the case of an accident that deploys airbags.

So i tried another that was softer and it worked but it kept sliding around and was a pain to readjust while driving as it shifted about

The third came with anchors but it was too thin and was hard to remove when the wife wanted to drive the car

The foam was thick but soft so i didnt sit too high the bottom had a nonslip material so it didnt slide around and it was easy to toss in the back
