After a couple minutes of play the toy seems to get a hit waterlogged such that the sound effects stop working

The toy is really well made and features a floating boat with a dog inside on the bottom is a sticker you peel off that exposes 2 recessed metal contacts when those contacts touch water it completes a circuit and the toy makes enginewave runner style noises and the dog barks

You can test the toy by using your finger to touch both contacts

The sound stopped working almost right away and when it did work it would only make sounds for 30 seconds not continuous

However speakers dont work when they get water on them so as soon as the toys is submerged the speaker sound is muffled
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
So i can still recommend it but not for the sound effects as they are a gimmick

The barking and motor noises are made by the water connecting 2 sensors on the bottom to create a circuit
