Pros

This ball solves the problem. They work brilliantly. Not the be-all, end-all massage tool, but a good one to add to your recovery tool arsenal.

It seems to have more of a shearing effect when i roll on it. The ridges provide a nice massage where needed.

Sklz massage ball is portable and water resistant for easy cleaning. It's also easy to clean - just rub it with some soap and rinse. Includes a sheet with training tips and photo demonstrations.

Sklz universal massage roller is a 5 inch hard ball meant to be used for massage. I love my foam roller, but it's big and bulky. This is a good addition to my collection of small and large rubber balls and rollers, some softer, some harder.

It's just a tad smaller than a tennis ball, but it's quite a bit firmer. They serve a different purpose and will appeal to athletic people and those like me who aren't.

Strongly recommend, esp for the great price!

No as great as a massage but much cheaper and i get a little exercise moving the ball around up and down with my knees!

This arrived right after i had hurt my back lifting my grandson into his highchair.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging showed a couple of different exercises and their web site.

It would be nice to have some plain old paper instructions included in the box.

Competitiveness

I bought other massage gadgets from sklz but this is by far the best one.

Nike makes one that has a grippier surface that makes it roll more consistently, which i prefer.

If that’s the comparison for (and logic behind) a lower rating, you might as well compare beetles to memphis barbeque.
