Pros & Cons
Pros
This one is the sturdiest one so far. It is sturdy and well made. The only downside is that you need someone to give you the massage.
Feels like a self-indulgence that is absolutely worth it. Exactly what's advertised. Worth every penny.
Top and sides of thigh, shin, calf. Works great for massaging some of the tendons. Feels great on my back.
Its fantastic at localizing muscle knots and teasing them loose. Extremely smooth roller with no squeaks or sounds whatsoever.
The sklz is much sturdier than the cheap one. It's weighty so there's more pressure with less effort. Easy to apply enough pressure but also easier to overdo it.
Cons
Would be ok for gentle pressure like a calf muscle. However it is not well-made! The handles also get loose. It's possible i got a faulty one as it did not turn easily.
Highlights
Quality
It appears to be very well made and works as promised.
The roller is sturdy, easy to use, and effective in rolling out tight muscles.
Since my first roller, its broken a couple times- the handle comes off.
You can press as hard as you like and this feels unbreakable.
Price
An old price sticker was attached on the back and probably should have been removed as it was about $10 cheaper than the current price.
Don't cheap out when getting one of these.
If you are looking for a massage bar and all not too worried about the rather high price, then this is what you need.
In addition, it could be a bit cheaper.
Shipping
Was not the one i originally wanted and found it on another site ( still waiting for it to arrive.
Competitiveness
Before starting i will say this is highly subjective as this is my 2nd roller stick so i'm comparing it to my first which is st... Read More
Yes, there are tons of different kinds of rollers on the market, but the ergonomics of the sklz roller makes it a far superior choice.
I don't think the cost is that much less compared to the big version but i guess it is what they want it to be.
