Despite it’s diminutive size, it works well as an solo practice ball for both of my boys. It's a bit clumsy to adjust between kids but it holds well once it is adjusted. Nowadays, my kids are the ones who follow suit.
The only downside is that it is not that durable. Overall, very good.
My son (6) loves to play soccer, but living in a townhouse with limited outdoor space it can be hard to practice. I have seen friends of theirs practice with a tethered ball similar to this sklz star-kick touch trainer soccer ball.
The sklz star-kick touch soccer ball trainer is a size 1. Just hold the handle and kick it and practice your skills. Sturdy recoil line. Great for focusing on proper technique.

It is well made and has been holding up pretty well.
Great ball to build coordination and confidence.
Lost air after a few months, but that's a fixable problem.
The attached cord doesn't let the ball get away from you and it isn't necessary to have a training partner.
Price
Easy, physical fun without being destructive or expensive.
All i know is he is getting full value of entertainment from it.
This was not a big deal for me, but it did surprise me that it was so small.

Also the plastic handle came apart thats how you adjust the length of the rope and doesnt hold together very well keeps coming apart but you hold it in your hand anyway so you naturally hold it together

My daughter has gone through two of these in 6 months

The reason being is that the first layer of the ball start peeling rather quickly with frequesnt use

He is in a rec league of 1214 year olds and is small compared to the other boys so he needs to be more skilled to get playing time
