Pros

We have a portable hoop (filled with sand) that has a poly-carbonate backboard. Good natural bounce and the material is smooth. Instant progress when transitioning from the heavy ball to a a normal.

This is really best used for what it is geared toward - training. It's definitely good at honing your skills so that when you switch to a regular ball, it will seem all the easier. The control of the regular ball is great!

It challenges your reflexes. Work out by dribbling one hand for 30s-1m and then switching hands. When he switches to a regular ball, his dribbling is quicker and more controlled.

Cons

I was dissatisfied when i received the heavy training basketball. Shape is lopsided and internal weight is unbalanced. Doesn't bounce straight like a basketball but more like a football.
