Pros & Cons
Pros
I used the grate from the firepit as a base for the lava rocks. This helps to create some combustion so they all light at the same time. Works well and well built though flames not as high as pictured.
This is no fault of this product which did work as advertised. Works as just as expected.
Stainless steel is thick and the holes are drilled. This item is sturdy and well constructed. Being made out of stainless steel gives you the assurance that it will last a long time.
You must drill several holes in the bottom of an enclosed fire pit. The flames and output are perfect for a low pressure regulator. This particular one has a raised center which is perfect for keeping the rain water from backing up into your gas line.... Read More
Cons
The smaller holes and the longer tips make this worse than just the drilled holes! The holes are different (raised) and this caused a problem for my current configuration. Lastly, easy to install but once * on, would fall out of level. My contractor (... Read More
It needs a wind gust to to spread the flame. Sounds like a propane torch/* burner or hotdog heater.

Quality
The quality is right up there with hpc.
I am very happy with the product and would buy it again.
This is crucial because literally the flames will blow out with the slightest wind if you don't add some media on top.
I did a base with the lava rock and then buried it with fire glass about 1/2-1 so the turbo ports were under the glass.
Shipping
Quick delivery and well packaged without shipping damage.
Packaging/appearance
The only complaint i might have is the packaging was not great.

I was skeptical since it was rated for 150000 btu and propane tanks can only push about 100000 btu.

I learned that you must drill several holes in the bottom of an enclosed fire pit since the gas is heavier than air there is a possibility the pit could fill with gas otherwise

I used the grate from the firepit as a base for the lava rocks really should have a thin piece of sheet metal instead it would make arranging the rocks and keeping them in place easier beside they sometimes fall through

Also used a 2 foot yellow flexiblesemiridged gas line from the pit to the rubber flex hose was warned it might be a hazard if say a kid melts a toy on top of the rocks and the hot flaming plastic were to drip on the rubber hose
