The lava rocks are heavy and work great!
They allow the firecan to retain and put off a lot more heat.
Smaller stones can be spread thinner and further coverage for same weight.
Rocks are nice and good color but not enough in a 10 pound bag to cover much area.
Price
Online home depot is cheaper but i was impatient.
$100/ 3 - 10lb of 1"-2" only covers about 2 square foot.
