Pros
There are the perfect size to replace the heavier lava rock that comes with so many of these fire pits. These are so lightweight and easy to transport. Went great with my new birch gas logs.
Cons
The rocks burn and change color under propane heat. They turn black after use.

In the rv i didnt want the extra weight and damage that the lava rocks would do to the gas fire ring on the bottom of the pit

After a while they do break down though as they are soft
