Im sure this is practical to fit various sockets but in the lamps im using you see thread above the socket when the bulb is completely screwed in

However sometime it is worth paying more to get the better look and considering the typical long life of led bulbs it may be ok to pay extra

Note that the brightness is 400 lumens as stated on the bulb box versus the 330 lumens stated on the amazon website

Just the packing shows higher quality the 50 of the bulbs sold on amazon all 4 were packed together in ome box the inside they were in their own boxes with plastic surrounding each bulb
