It is strong and i'm very happy with the purchase.

Was happy with the 1st one we bought a 2nd for another bedroom

And it's 14 inches i believe i could be wrong however i'm satisfied with the purchase.

Nothing wrong with the foundation but it has started to squeak after 2 weeks of using it.
