It also has a bubble level attached so you can get the horizon level

When going vertical with the level bubble on top to level the camera the bottom of the plate hits the top of the tripod mount you can see how far off from 90 degrees it is

An easy fix as i took an 1834 aluminum plate cut it to a 1 1234 diameter circle drilled a 1434 hole in it
