I frequently dock my phone for editing and the dock cable is just too large to fit in the case

However keep in mind that with every new iphone release youll likely need to replace parts of the cage or even the whole thing due to changes in button placement even if the phones design evolves minimally

The locks into the cage very securely and is extremely easy to remove but is still secure enough that it wont accidentally fall out
