If you're good with a screw driver and a ladder, this is soooo easy to install. The instructions are extremely easy to follow. Easy to install in about 30 minutes.
Craftsman garage door sensor is solar-powered. Installation is simple. Use a staple gun to remove excess wire.
This is a great solution to make your old garage door wifi. App is pretty simple enough with a straight forward interface. I primarily use it in my google home app because of the seamless google assistant integration.

Alexa integration requires a pin set up. With alexa you are also asked to create a 4 digit code when opening the garage. Works great with the amazon alexa app.
Cons
Product along with the app are completely unreliable and not worth the money. Still false notifications.

Purchased this meross and so far i am very happy with the operation.
After much research, i went with the meross.
What i ended up getting was a remote that i could program to work with the controller.

Packaging/appearance
I programmed it to open/close the garage door and connected the wires from the meross to the remote and everything worked.
I am glad i picked the meross.
Competitiveness
I don't know what i expected, but this device worked out much cheaper with smartthings and alexa than the more expensive gocontrol.
This is the 2nd meross product purchase.

The biggest trick was finding a place where i could install the door sensor and then run the cable back to the meross unit.

Be sure to check because i tried installing and putting the wires into the back of my device as instructed only realizing later that it wasnt compatible outside of the box

Installation of the sensor to the garage door was a bit tricky running the wires from the garage door opening all the way to the rails of the actual door
